ChickenGuard is an innovative product – an automated chicken coop door opener that helps to protect your chickens from predators such as foxes and raccoons.

About 10 years ago I was gifted a flock of chickens by my mother.  With no experience of hen husbandry, especially the importance of safe bed times, I soon fell ‘fowl’ of Mr Fox and sadly lost a few of my flock.

Upset but undeterred, I decided to set about designing and inventing a way of keeping the remaining hens safe. So from my kitchen table, the ChickenGuard© automatic chicken coop door opener was invented.  ChickenGuard is now an essential item for all hen owners, with units being sold in 73 countries already.

Allowing you to go out without having to wait for your chickens to go to bed in the evening, and your chickens to get up whilst you stay in bed in the morning, the automatic door opener protects your chickens from foxes and other predators, without you having to lift a finger.

What does a ChickenGuard do?

The ChickenGuard© is a unique door opener, offering peace of mind for you and protection for your hens from foxes and other predators.

As well as the easy-to-programme timer, the additional built-in light sensor means you have two options for maximum security and peace of mind. The full Manual Control Feature and unique Failsafe Mode also provide increased security and flexibility for timings.

An integrated LCD screen ensures it is easy to set up and alter timings when necessary. You won’t need an 8 year old to programme this door! And we have even designed extra big buttons so you can programme the unit with your gloves on in the winter – we really do understand all about bad weather.
